VOLUNTEERING

Would you like to travel to Cape Town and spend some valuable time at one of our volunteer centres ?

We have various centres who welcome volunteers, even on a short term basis. Depending on your preference, time available or your background experiences and training, you could make a booking with us for any length of time, from 1 week to 3 months, from January to November each year. December is difficult as most places close for the summer holidays.

Send us your enquiry and we will discuss the options in more detail. We also offer English language courses and homestay accommodation and will give you some orientation around Cape Town. There is the possibility to also book some longer trips, to see other sights around Cape Town, go to a wildlife game farm, do some adventure sport and enjoy the nature around the area to name a few.

Some general information:

Different centres are busy at different times of the day. Some centres are easier to get to than others. Most of the places can be reached by public transport or UBER.

While some centres have a volunteer programme in place, most do not. Often you will assist a teacher/member of staff. At some of the centres you can be creative, do reading, using colouring-in and play dough to bring some entertainment to the children.

As you are volunteering, you may start your day around 9 am (or earlier) and finish just after lunch time. Of course, if you wish to stay on, this is possible. If you take a few days off to travel, just inform the  Centre.
