TESOL (TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES)
The TESOL course is designed to introduce teachers to lesson plans, efficient teaching methods and classroom management.
Our comprehensive 120-hour theoretical and practical skills development course in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) takes place once a month.
The course has three components: home study, intensive classroom-based sessions and observation/teaching practice. The home study component information will be e-mailed to you once registration and the deposit payment is complete. The intensive, classroom-based component runs over a week.
TEFL (TEACHING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE)
An intensive, 7 day theoretical and skills development course in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language.
We offer an internationally recognised Certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in Cape Town and other centres throughout South Africa. We have trained TEFL teachers on an ongoing basis for 16 years and are well established in the TEFL Training field.
TEFL (DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAMME)
The TEFL distance learning programme is designed for those unable to attend our courses in person and yet are keen to do the TEFL course and acquire the certificate.
The distance learning programme is more theoretical than the standard course, although skills development is still encouraged. A time frame of three months is given to submit seven Certificate Assessment Tasks concerning different aspects of Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
TBE (TEACHING BUSINESS ENGLISH)
This course is aimed at EFL teachers who would like to specialise in teaching Business English.
It is an ideal supplement for newly qualified EFL teachers who feel more comfortable teaching in a business environment than in a general language school. In many non-English countries, corporate English is a growth industry in which there is an increasing demand for dedicated and qualified teachers who have a solid understanding of business processes, procedures and terminology.
TEYLT (TEACHING YOUNG LEARNERS & TEENAGERS)
The TEYLT is a more specialised course that teaches teachers how to cope with the demands of young learners in the EFL world.
The teaching of children is holistic rather than academic. Acceptable social language, moral values and life skills are imparted in relevant lessons, thereby contributing to the overall development of the child. There is increased demand for teachers at kindergarten, primary and secondary level.
